Unplugged: August

For the month of August, my weight was between 170-174 pounds. I havent been watching calories and know that I routinely ate 2000 or more.  I'm disappointed to say that being so busy hasn't helped and my running is down to 2-3 times a week (and I'm still in training for the half, so that isnt good!) and I've found myself sneaking in the kitchen at night to eat when bored, eat when watching TV, or eat when I'm doing work for my certifications.  Not good.  My clothes still fit well, I still feel decent, but mentally, I feel like I'm slipping back into my old ways and I dont like that.

I had planned on getting back to my counting and exercise logging in September to start what I'm calling "part 2" of my journey.  Everyone has those last 10-20 pounds they want to lose and, from what I've heard, people who lose a substantial amount of weight tend to get really hung up on the "final fifteen".  So, I thought it would be interesting to see how I fare.  The weight loss tends to be much slower (which makes sense since the proportion of total weight is less).  I also want to do it (gulp) without the gym.  It will be be and what I have at my disposal at home.  So... We'll see how that works, especially with winter just around the corner!
